CONFIRMATION - Two-year instruction

Confirmation Classes are held for our youth on Sunday evenings as well as Sunday mornings. Sunday evenings include a meal which is prepared by families taking turns during the year. Field trip enrichment events occur throughout the year. The two-year confirmation journey is usually during the 7th and 8th grade years. We try to work with families to meet the readiness of the youth, so there may be students participating in their 9th and 10th grade years, or perhaps the 6th grade. At the completion of two years of confirmation classes, the Rite of Confirmation is celebrated in May in worship with the congregation, the youth and their families.

The 2015 ELCA National Gathering will be held, in Detroit! To offset the costs of these trips, the Youth organize congregational and community fund raising projects such as Easter breakfast.
